Very slow day trolling,boa traffic was crazy as expects but we still gave it a shot, we trolls al day and only caught 1 fish, but it was a doozie!
We were trolling through a very high traffic neck down area when my wife yells fish on, then she says nope it's a stump! Then she says nope it's fish in , and then the fight was on.afte about 5 minutes we were pretty sure t wasn't a saugeye, and the boats started to gather around to watch her and cheer her on!
She fought it grant 10 - 15 minutes and it stayed on the bottom the entire time! When we finally seen its tail surface we just abut ####! It mad one last run before she got it back to the boat side and I netted it for her! It was a 38". 36.8 pounds flathead catfish! We weighed it ,took measure,en and pics and then released it to catch another day!her audience applauded her and took pics as well!
This was the only fish we caught today but it sure was a blast !
