Funny how life pans out. Fate brought an older story teller stallion to her homelands, and he remained with her people and he had won her young heart then. Nesrin always thought fate would bring them together again, when she was old enough to give her heart away. The buckskin belle could not have predicted…well all the unexpected adventures that led up to the birth of her first born daughter. The filly was a near perfect copy of her mother, bearing the shimmer of the desert born kin her mother was descended from. Nesrin loved the girl with all her might. Granted the young mother had her worries here and there, but she was strong willed and determined to make good on the miracle the star gods had entrusted her with.

The tiny buckskin now lunged forward while her mother whinnied playfully and dashed away, causing more splashes that won a few giggles from her child. These days of joy were those she would remember fondly. The child moved again in pursuit of her mom who eventually stopped so that the babe might come to her side. Along the way, her awkward limbs caught on something and the girl fell in a pile of legs in the shallows. Eyes looked about almost in shock as to how such a thing could happen. Nesrin did not laugh nor did she move to see to her daughter whom she fondly called Tallis. Rather the desert born mare eyed her thoughtfully with an encouraging smile. A moment or two passed before the child snorted and bounded up and forward to her mother's side. She rubbed her little dial against the mare's damp skin, the mare likewise lowered her muzzle as she lovingly licked at her child's face. Children needed to understand falling as well as the glory of rising again…this her granddam had taught her.

Attentions turned as her own instincts told of strangers near and present, eyes fell on fellow mother and child pair. Nesrin returned the mare's smile with a smile of her own, perhaps it was something in the other's voice or just meeting a fellow desert dweller. Just the same Nesrin felt instantly at ease. "Günaydın kardeş. Good morning my sister. Please do!" Nesrin felt the touch of her daughter as she became a bit shy in the presence of the new faces now before them. Thorns pricked as she nicked softly to encourage Tallis who still remained fixed to her mother's side. "Kardeşini selamlıyorum Tallis….come greet your sister under heaven." The filly remained in place, only peeking out a few times to the white and gold capped filly with the other mare. Nesrin moved aside and the girl instinctively moved again, this time to hide beneath her dam. The babe could feel her mother looking at her and she met her mother's stern gaze before looking back at the other filly. "Merhaba." she uttered softly dropping her head shyly, ears fallen to each side of her head.

"I am Nesrin. What is your name sister?"
