Yes,Russ,I'm pretty sure his dog is ok.I suppose anyone can claim they felt "in danger" and get away with killing one if there are no witnesses. Some humans just don't put value on wild animals and I'll bet anything he felt quite a thrill at killing something as unordinary as a Mountain Lion.I'll bet he loves to tell this story.Sad.
