. CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site
There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities.
This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only.
We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund.
Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

Col David Lloyd Jones ashes to be placed in Wellington Gardens 1330hrs
It was the wish of Col David that some of his ashes should be interned in Plot 1 (a fitting tribute to the last Commanding Officer of the Barracks) of the Fusilier Memorial Garden on Bolton Road. It has been agreed with his family that the ceremony will take place on Minden Day, TIMINGS
The timings for the Interment are:
1245 hrs Car park open on Wellington Barracks site. Family arrive
at Wellington Barracks, for private viewing of the site.
1320 hrs Family arrive at Garden
1330 hrs Ceremony
1500 hrs. Wellington Barracks car park locked
( Arrangements have been made with Circle Leasing for the use of 30 parking spaces at the old Wellington Barracks site. Vehicles may be parked on a first come basis from 1245 hrs to 1500 hrs after which any vehicle remaining will be locked in. This will allow for a short social visit to the Wellington Hotel.)
FORMING UP
Family. The assembly point for the family will be on the area covered in red chippings immediately to the front of the stone lectern and nearest to the Plot 1. Two seats will also be available in this area.
Veterans. It is suggested that those veterans who wish to attend should position themselves on the outside of the garden footpath on Bolton Road. From here they will have an unrestricted view of the proceedings. It is appropriate to leave as much space for the family as possible.
Col David was a friend to many and inspiration to all, it falls upon us to make sure that he has an appropriate regimental send off
