midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

After spending the night spread out between the falls and meadow, Jörmungandr had finally decided to round up her small family as the sun’s rays began to light the land. Vargr had been stroppy and uncooperative but eventually yielded to her not so gentle persuasion. He huffed a few strides behind her, silently nursing a small angry swelling on his shoulder. Gravewolf nudged fondly at his opposite shoulder, ”Do not be such a downer Vargr. We might actually have fun in the lagoon. Olaf says all young stallions should spend time in a bachelor herd. It’s where we will learn how to manage and defend our herds in the future” The spotted boy had hung on every word his sire had told him and was keen to start his journey toward stallionhood. Vargr merely shot him a death glare, “Don’t want a herd” he huffed gruffly, and sidestepped away from his spotted uncle. Gravewolf gave an uncertain chuckle, ”Well not now, obviously”. Vargr didn’t bother to look at him. ”Never”.

Gravewolf snorted, and focused on the path ahead of them.

Jörmungandr flicked an ear back and snorted at the conversation, Vargr could do as he pleased. Felony seemed to have no desire to break away from the bachelors and start a herd of his own so it was no surprise that the son might take after the father. A small smirk touched her lips as the thought crossed her mind – Vargr would hate that she compared him to his sire. The funny thing was though, Vargr was probably more like Felony than he would ever care to admit (and he would admit nothing).

As they passed through a patch of dense trees, movement and a series of yips caused the group to halt. Sköll’s ears leaned forward curiously, while everyone else pinned theirs. ”What’s wrong, Ma?” he questioned as two young wolves practically rolled out of the bushes. ”Wolves” she warned, ”but they are just young” she added, not that concerned. She’d told him about the dangers that wolves could pose though at this time of year, when they were well fed, they would not attempt to take on a healthy adult horse – let alone 3 of them and a 6 month old. Sköll laughed, despite being a little uneasy, ”What are they doing?”, I t looked funny. ”Playing. Now come on, before their parents eat you up” she chuckled, grasping his neck in her teeth is jest as the group turned to move away from the wolves.
