GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

Oswin’s wide, bright blue eyes watched her sister carefully. The air changed between them once the question was asked and Oswin, though not fully understanding why, could sense something was wrong with her sister. She reached out; neck stretched, and bumped her soft muzzle against her sister’s shoulder. She wanted to say it would be okay, their dad would probably let her stay if she wanted to, but Chumani spoke up again and the worry that had been there before seemed to slip back into her older sister’s control. Oswin pulled her head back and blinked, frowning.

“But we’ll still get to visit each other, right?” Her head tilted as she gazed up at her sister. Oswin’s life had thus far been full of playing with whoever might play with her and she had bonded quite close to her siblings. She couldn’t imagine suddenly never seeing them again. “I’m going to visit Foxglove and Firethorn on Tinuvel.” She declared, giving a sharp nod of her head. “When I’m old enough to swim.” She had no idea when that would be. Her mother already freaked out if she ever tried to cross the river to get to the Forest… what would Dock do when Oswin wanted to swim across the ocean?

“I’ll visit you too! Wherever you go.” She smiled wide and bright, bobbing her head. “You won’t get away from me that easy.” Her grin turned playful, giggling shortly after.
