I'm coming home....

Braylen

stallion | 15.1hh | palomino tovero | protector of the inlet

It was early morning when Braylen pulled himself from the salty water and onto the shores of Luthien. It had been many long seasons since he had set hoof on the island and truthfully he had not thought himself to do so again in this life time. For a moment he just stood; eyes closed and nostrils flared as he brought in the earthy scent that only this Island carried. But the moment was short lived as he drug in the stallion's scent that lived here and was reminded this was not home. In fact, this had never been home. Opening his eyes, he looked out across the open expanse of the Prairie and recalled a time when he had looked out at a similar view from the cover of the treeline where the Forest and the Prairie met. But this was not a time for reminiscing.

Taking in another deep breath, Braylen released it in a call that carried well without the hindrance of trees or landmarks. He knew without a doubt that he would be heard by either the stallion that called this land his own or by another herd member. A small smile crossed his muzzle at that, wondering how long it would take Rufina to come to his calling. She was the only reason he had even come to this Island in the first place; why he would even face the old memories that lingered here upon this land. He hoped things went according to plan but he steeled himself to the possibility that they wouldn't as he awaited the man named Valentine.
