while the cities crumble

The ache was back. The longing and the emptiness seem to find their way to Kjartan's heart once more. It had been so close. A place to call home and a life worth leading had all been withen the stallion's grasp. And now? Now the steel colored beast finds himself wandering yet again in search of a place to rest. Perhaps Ravos hadn't been the real paradise he had been looking for. Maybe something even better was waiting for him in this new land. These were the thoughts the stallion knows he has to keep in his head. Anything else will drive him mad.

Black hooves are met with the soft warm sands of The Dunes and Kjartan has to admit he's a little hesistant. He has never been a fan of the desert landscapes and has always abhored the heat. However, there is a stronger part of him that longs for nothing but a chance to stop walking. And, as if by some sign, just as he is debating on rather to keep going or stay the scent of the others nearby sweeps across his nose. Where there are others there is hope. This is enough to keep him going.

It doesn't take him much longer to reach what seemed like a border of the land. The scents were strong enough to lay down a boundry but faint enough to let Kjartan know the residents didn't normally hang around this part of the land. There is a mixture of scents on the air. There are mares, obviously, but multiple stallions which peaks his interest. It seems as if he may have stumbled onto quite the battlefield.

Needless to say, Kjartan waits at the border. He lets out a call for whoever might be in charge at this point. There was no telling what awaits him in this land. Perhaps just a place to rest for the night or maybe more. There was no way for him to know. K J A R T A N
