Braylen

stallion | 15.1hh | palomino tovero | protector of the inlet

Braylen waited patiently and was not left standing there upon the shore for long. The white that marked Valentine’s body stood out against the gold colors of the territory; easily catching Braylen’s gaze as he watched the stallion approach. Neck arching slightly as instinct tried to take hold; Braylen kept control and pushed his ears forward as his tail raised ever so slightly to a half flag. He was not here to fight but it was basic mature stallion instincts that made the thought linger in the back of his mind that he did well to ignore.

“Valentine” He managed to say before suddenly Rufina appeared and skidded to a halt, roughly bumping into the gold and white brute. Braylen had raised his head out of the way from the mare as she ran into him, his blue eyes holding a glint of humor at her appearance. “Rufina” he greeted as well, a small smile touching his lips. He had to fight the urge to tug at a lock of her mane playfully and was glad when she stepped away; behaving herself if that were even possible.

Looking back to Valentine, Braylen held his head level with the stallion once more now that he wasn’t trying to dodge a certain mare. “I am Braylen; son of Lyden” he said, not knowing if Valentine would remember his father or not. Regardless, Braylen was not his father anyways. He was his own man and had his own responsibilities and would not be hindered or helped by his sire’s name. “I do not come here to bring trouble. Only to see what is required of me to have permission to take your daughter home in the Inlet.” Braylen did not bother to verify that it was Rufina he spoke of. He thought that very clear already by how the young mare had greeted him after the initial shock.
