At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

I'll Leave the Ocean Behind
IP: 72.19.86.114

Once in a while we will find,

the sound of your heart beats with mine,

and when it's time

I'll leave the ocean behind...

Cordelia smiled as Pierce chuckled to himself quietly. She couldn't help but laugh along with him before jetting off to her den, as he stayed behind to get a hold of himself. What was going on in that big, white, handsome head of his? Wait... Handsome? Where did that come from? He was a very attractive wolf. Fit and and healthy, with a charming personality to boot... but this was the first time Delia has felt these emotions. What even was she feeling? All she knew was that she wanted to stay as long as she could with her ghostly companion. She felt redundant thinking that over and over again but she couldn't help it. It was the only thought consistently buzzing around her head. Like her mind was begging her to hang onto him, not to let him go. Her instincts were telling her that he was the right choice. He was the one she was meant to be with. She'd be safe, happy... home?

Speaking of, he had finally made his way over to her at least kind of composed. She asked his opinion, being self conscious of her tiny abode, and he replied sweetly but hardly seemed impressed. Delia's auburn ears pinned to her head as he turned to walk to the river a few yards away. She watched for a moment as he drank from her river before he spoke again. Quietly she emerged and walked over, head hanging low, to stand by his side. She stared into the water at her reflection while she replied, the stream was so enticing.

It was all I could find, I dug it out myself! I can't defend myself and the river provided food and water. No one ever comes this far out, so I was safe. And I'm not great at making friends, so finding a pack was out of the question. It's not as bad as it seems, I guess.

She replied softly with a small smile as she sat back on her haunches. Her brindled head rose as she broke her trance and instead got lost in her knight's fiery eyes.

Maybe you could show me what a real territory looks like...? I bet the dens are lovely and big enough for two or more!

She spoke, her tone slightly questioning, but hopeful. She didn't want to make it seem like she was using him as a way to join a pack. In reality she didn't care where they ended up, as long as she was with him. Maybe this was a bad idea... What is his pack didn't like her? He'd have to stay and she'd have to go... No. She couldn't lose him. Should she ask him to stay with her instead? She could always dig out her own den some more to make room for him as well. But then she remembered all the great things he told her about Spring Grounds. He seemed to love it so much, she couldn't ask him to leave that place. His home... She could leave her home. It was just a bush, just a river. She could always come back and visit. It would be a big change for sure, and would take a lot of getting used to... and perhaps a lot of training too... but it was worth it if she got to stay with Pierce. That was it then, she had made up her mind. When the time came she'd follow Pierce anywhere he chose to go. How could she not? Timidly she opened her mouth to speak again before she lost what little confidence she had, leaning up to nuzzle him a little after she spoke.

and maybe you could even show me your tree?
