Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Running in circles, that's why

Beauty I'd always missed
With these eyes before,
Just what the truth is
I can't say anymore.

The silence had been subtly disturbed as the soft sound of hoof beats reached the pale ears of Le Blanc. Ah, so there were members within the territory after all. To say Le Blanc was happy would have been a complete farce. If the land were occupied or not made no difference to the steed, but what did matter most was the distraction the others’ approach would bring. He welcomed it no matter the inflection.

Lipizzaner
of fourteen years survived brought his sloth-like walk to a complete halt and raised his head to greet the other with silence. It was quite clear that the tobiano of bay was in charge. Everything about the darker stallion radiated with “I’m the head honcho here, the hell do you want?” If Le Blanc had considered himself one with a sense of humor, he might have been bold enough to laugh having seen the charade too many times before. Oh, but Le Blanc didn’t laugh or scoff. He didn’t back down or cower either. He simply remained standing, his empty, hollow ochre eyes staring directly back at the wolf-like stallion.

To other stallions, the nameless lead was quite intimidating,
undoubtedly. Those eyes – they seemed to burn right through to one’s very soul. His stance and demeanor, even his biting words, were fierce. This was certainly an intimidating stallion. And yet, it all fell flat upon Le Blanc for he was beyond apathetic – further than just broken: he was cadaverous, almost ethereal.

He cast his pitted gaze in the direction of the curious other lurking just beyond the frontal force. Youthful, probably stubborn and foolhardy – as most youths were prone to be. No further heed was made of the other. Attention remained focused upon the lead as Le Blanc reflected upon the bitter words.

Charity. Le Blanc wasn’t looking for any sense of philanthropy and half of him wanted to mention it to the nameless lead. Then again, a part of the pale stallion desired to simply turn his head in disregard and continue on his way – at his pace. Lastly, a fraction of Le Blanc wished to do nothing. To stand there and observed the predator.

And that’s what won.

Le Blanc kept his empty, hollow ochre eyes staring back at the wolf of a stallion as he remained perfectly motionless: unaffected.

Some try to tell me
Thoughts they cannot defend,
Just what you want to be
You will be in the end,

LE BLANC
“Reality continues to ruin my life."
