right now it don't make sense

sometimes the greater plan is kinda hard to understand...

The different parts of the island had been so different, so far from where she had wanted to be, that even when she had stopped in both paradise and the forest, that it still didn’t feel like home. Guess that old saying is true, Home is where the heart is. And her heart, no matter what transpired, would always belong to Braylen. He had her heart from day one, when she had been scared of everything, he had shown her compassion, and to this day, she was ever grateful to have stumbled into his fathers land so many years before, and that she had been given to Braylen, to be his first mare, it had been a special thing, that was sure.

The years that had gone by, she had never really known why she kept taking off, part of her was fearful that one day she’d give him a defected child, like she was, and that he would blame her. She had been hesitant like that when he had approached her about children, when they had decided to have Zain. Not like she regretted her boy, no, she loved him, he was her first born, and she would always love him more than words could explain. But she didn’t even know where he was, what kind of mother was she?!

The sound of the waves in the distance brought her back to the current state of mind, her darling daughter at her side, she rubbed her nose against the small child, breathing in a content breath, pulling along with it the smells that would bind her to her child. She didn’t know what they should name her, but perhaps Braylen would have an idea..He had to be here somewhere, she smelled him somewhere in the distance. Her heart ached to see him again. She worked on cleaning the small child off, the girl had finally fallen asleep after drinking her fill, her little belly full, pressed against her mother’s own belly to stay warm.

A sound caught Isobel’s attention then, and she lifted her head to look her eyes adjusting to the light when she recognized Braylen’s form. Her eyes softened, a smile creeping upon her lips, just watching him, wondering what he wanted to do. She shifted her eyes to their child, their daughter, smiling before looking back at him.
