Racing brought her a distraction. The movement of her paws, nails digging into the ground gave her something else to think about. It was not distracting enough to take her mind completely off her confusion. Her desire to be physically close to Edrick was intense. It always had been. More than it had been for anyone else she had met. But she saw the happiness between her two friends. Their eyes seemed forced to be glued to each other, even at the times Edrick’s lavender eyes looked to her, it was still different. She could not tell if it was different than it had been before, she did not have a word for what it had been before.
He came back for her, touched her side and her heart raced but also died at the touch. As much as she wanted to be close to him she feared the closeness would hurt Neverland, just as distance could hurt herself and Edrick. She tripped at the touch, but kept herself in pace with her friends, trying to bring herself back to the world they had all created for themselves. Torn, she raced with them into the water, diving into it to try to cover her in something else. Dripping wet, she looked over at the pair, her tail wagging, panting slightly to bring herself back to her instinctual personality. A smirk came across her face at Edrick’s title. Gaze shifted to Neverland as she spoke and Taika smiled.
