I'm coming home....

Braylen

stallion | 15.1hh | palomino tovero | second of the inlet

Life; it was such a precious thing and Braylen cherished it despite wasting his own. Each day went by; the days and nights and even the seasons rushing together to the point the painted stallion wasn't sure when the last time he had spoken to another equine was. That did not mean he didn't keep watched over them though. Sticking to the shadows, he had spied upon his family like a thief in the night, watching them grow and flourish among the cold snows of the Inlet with the help of Pagan. Braylen was glad for the stallion's kindness. Should he have been any other stallion then Braylen might have lost his herd during this terrible time of isolation and doubt the stallion fought through. But still, a dark tugging of jealousy was beginning to form in the painted stallion's heart.

As the sun rose this day, Braylen had decided that he was no longer going to hide. Stepping away from the thicket of trees he had spent the night in after a round of patrolling, the stallion moved closer to where he had last seen the herd. Anxiety curled deep inside the stallion; his nerves causing his heart to hammer in his chest and his ears to flick too and fro. Would they accept him back? Or would they be angry with him for his absence and drive him back into the confines of solitude?

No

Braylen gave a shake of his head, knowing he couldn't think this way. He loved his family and perhaps after he had seen them and explained, then they would accept him back into their loving embrace. Deciding to keep that thought; forcing it to repeat over and over in his mind to try and calm his nerves, the stallion let out a ringing call to the herd.
