Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I am the nightmare that became reality

Ruger had not even flinched when his father's hoof struck so close to his head; the same hoof that had crushed a wolf's skull beneath it not long ago. When the beast finally made his departure, Ruger sighed and closed his eyes. Had he been wrong to fight? Had he been wrong to let his father manipulate his anger so easily? The sound of hooves sucking in the mud growing ever closer did nothing to rouse the defeated stallion. Even with the soft silent touch of Zimri; Ruger did not stir.

Only the cry of his upset child finally brought forth a need to open his eyes and raise his head. Ruger looked over to Rachanna before letting his amber eyes rise to Zimri's beaten and bloody body. She looked terrible; no longer the beautiful ray of light in his otherwise dark world.

Felony had taken everything from him all within the same rise and fall of the sun. slowly Ruger pulled himself up to stand. Mud completely caked the side of him that had been laying in the ground.

"I'm fine, Rachanna." he said quietly, but the beast was still so close to the surface he nearly growled out his reply. Why was he so much like the man he despised? Reaching over, he lightly ran his nose over the small part of Zimri's face that was not damaged. "Don't let him dim your light." he whispered, a twinge of desperation in his tone. If she fell to the darkness, then Ruger new he would forever be lost in the same fiery pit as the one who was his sire.
