Cloudy eyes stared towards the great mass of tumbling waters, seeing nothing but the faint shimmer of light as the sunlight bounced through them. Dark ears were cupped keenly towards the roar, for a moment simply marvelling in the sound of its power whilst occasionally giving a small shake of her head to rid herself of the mist of droplets gathering and rolling down her gilded coat. Thick dark mane clung damp and heavy to the arc of her neck despite her efforts to shift it as the spray sunk in until finally she resigned herself to her cold soaking. Dark limbs shifted anxiously as her raven tail lashed across her haunches. A fool. A fool she was. She could not do it. Thoughts drift to Pagan. Closing her eyes for a moment and recalling his gentle comforting tones. She yearned for the solidity his presence gave. But he was out of reach beyond the waves. Autumn was ticking by and his warning of the seas whispered through her mind. Dare she? It was one thing to say no for her. But for that little life...
