GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
We're nothing but trouble

hearts on fire tonight; feel my bones ignite
feels like war.

A familiar stallion stood by the little stream that ran through his home, his head down as he greedily drank in some of the cool water that would soon freeze over as winter came. The older boy was unaware that something had been stalking after him all of this morning, and only just lingered behind him in the grasses, moving as silently as it possibly could. Vincenzo lifts his head and the thing pauses, ears turning back and then facing forwards again as if hearing something but shrugged and bent back down for more water. With a grin the shape moves, and releases a short little battle cry that had Vin lifting his head again, but it was too late as his little brother came charging forwards into the water and splashing it up into his older siblings face. "Vitto!", Vin exclaims, shaking his head at the sudden coldness on his skin. Drinking the cold water was one thing, but to be drenched in it?

The slightly younger stallion was giggling, prancing around in the shallow water, not caring how cold the water was as he watched his brother. "You looked a little hot big brother," Vitto pouts, innocently looking at the angry Vin under his long lashes. Innocent my butt, Vin snorts in his thoughts. "Its autumn if you haven't noticed," Vin shakes his head one last time before moving away from the idiot that was his brother before he could launch another attack but when it came to younger siblings they never knew when to give up and it wasn't long before Vin heard Vitto scrambling to keep up.

"I'm sorry", Vitto snuggles up to Vin who was only a few inches or so taller than him; they both still had some growing left to do. "I've just been bored," the boy huffs as they continue to move, heading to the beach. Vin stops when the grass thins and meets the sandy edges of the the beach before looking to his side to address Vitto, "then why not make a friend? We have other siblings you know, or even take a swim to other islands like Ru did. Certainly you don't want to be as reclusive as our mother, though I'm sure if she has her way we would all stay here forever with her." Vin knew it was pointless to lecture Vitto, who was like his other half even with being only a year younger. You'd never find one without the other, and they were both just as reclusive as their mother even though they didn't admit it. It would take a good kick or two to probably get them to leave their home, they weren't as brave as their sister.

Vitto, having heard enough of the same old speech, reaches up and like the cheeky thing he was yanked at a long strand of Vincenzo's mane until the older male squealed and playfully snapped back. Soon they were chasing each other up and down the beach, their laughter echoing as they simply enjoyed being young and together. From her place at the edges of the little herd Sicily gave a grin when looking off toward where her boys were when their laughs came to her, glad they were so happy.
