Orhan
Though Orhan's head was high and his ears were pricked, he was not quite as animated as Arcana and Carys were as they greeted each other. This was, however, not out of lack of excitement - for indeed his blood seemed to sing as adrenaline continued to pulse through his body - but rather out of weariness.
As he caught his breath and waited his turn to offer his nose to sweet little Carys, he began to feel the weight of all the exertion he'd been through that day. His body felt hot and heavy and trembly; his throat was sore from the sea water he'd swallowed; even his eyeballs ached. What's more, his injured leg - which he had almost forgotten about in his bliss - was complaining again, with uncomfortable tingling sensations shooting through his knee.
In his heart he wanted nothing more than to stand and catch up with both mares until the sun went down, but he knew that if he did not get some rest - and soon - he might collapse. And that would likely not make a very good impression on the these two special mares.
After Arcana spoke, Orhan offered Carys a weary smile and looked back and forth between them. "This is quite something. Arcana and I were only just reunited earlier today. What a coincidence that we should find you too." After a polite pause, the buckskin stallion ducked his head to sate his enormous thirst, though he kept his ears pointed backwards to listen to the conversation.
He would hold out for as long as he could.
