Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Terrifying silence pounded on Dragonfly’s ears as she stared out at a field of frigid black snow. Her silver fur prickled upwards in rigid attention and her toes tingled anxiously. She pivoted her ears, searching the void. She could detect nothing. Her breath shortened and her eyes stretched rounder the more time dripped on because although there were no sign of imminent attack, her paranoia could feel the fine fanged, deranged attacker inch closer and closer…

Dragonfly yelped awake as a ghostly wolf apparated beside her with bloody teeth snapping over her throat. She rocketed to her belly and observed her small den without realizing she wasn’t in danger for half a moment. Somewhere near, she heard a fretful racket of water splashing. The panic of her nightmare transformed into physical action. Dragonfly flew from her den and skidded to a stop at the edge of a small ledge. Her fuchsia eyes scanned the violet-infused rocks for the source of chaos. Dawn illuminated the white foam of disturbed ebony, water.

Her gut clenched and she bolted down the slick slates of stone towards the commotion. She was a level away when she saw a wiry wolf head break the surface of the pond and drag himself onto land with a glittering monster in his mouth! Dragonfly dropped to an exhausted trot and she huffed out in relief as she lowered her head and closed her eyes briefly. Thank the moon and her sisters that fishing was all the danger that awaited her here. She lifted her head when she heard a mournful melody.

Dragonfly’s ears popped up as she loped forwards again to see if the stranger required assistance. A wolf length away, she identified the wolf by his soggy, orange tail. Frito! Only he would find the loss of a fish so depressing; she’d come to gleam his live life to the fullest of every emotion when she’d met him in Taviora. It was unfortunate that Frito lost his colossal fish, but compared to what she thought was happening to him, she could only feel gleeful that he was unharmed. With a humored grin on her lips, she crossed the small plateau, her large paws pattering softly on the damp ground.

“Frito!” Dragonfly called urgently. While she was hardly worried about terminal health, he looked as if he landed poorly. She wanted to be sure that he could continue his quest for prey before she left him on his own. “Is your shoulder alright?” Dragonfly crouched near him, ready to inch closer should he need help to stand.
