Astraea had come into the world as the gentlest of souls and so she would ever remain. Perhaps her head was a bit too in the clouds, or more correctly the stars, but it gave her the great benefit of being carefree and open to everyone she met if not a bit oblivious to certain aspects of life such as why her sister was so shy or why Zelda might be nervous. She had the blissful reassurance that fate was in control of everything, written in the stars, and all she had to do was walk the path laid before her. Still she reaches out to comfort her smaller sister, making room for her to sit close at her side before she follows her wide-eyed gaze to a with fire in his eyes and was not as surprised as she should have been that he was staring straight back at her.
That great ‘something’ had told her fate had plans for today for many of the young wolves who had answered the gathering call including herself and for a moment she forgets that her closest friend is experiencing the same thing, forgets that they are surrounded by others and surrenders to the connection and rush of emotion. For a moment time seemed to stretch as his eyes of pure molten lava bored into hers of split gold and violet that is until his eyes were suddenly getting closer. It took her a moment longer than it should have to realize that he was coming toward her…and rather quickly. They stood at much the same height, but he was noticeably larger than she and perhaps if he hadn’t been her soul’s counter or a believer that what will happen couldn’t be changed she might have been concerned.
Instead she simply stands waiting, her rather long tail giving a few nervous waves as he approaches rather quickly, brilliant eyes widening as she realizes he’s not going to stop in time. Apparently the stars couldn’t tell you everything she thought humorously as the white and black boy bowled into her. Their collision was quick and she came up with a soft giggle, bumping into this intense stranger more than a few times as they both tried to untangle gangly legs. She found an unfamiliar sort of comfort in the touches they shared, unlike those she shared with her family or Zelda it was something that resonated much deeper within her soul.
Finally they disentangled enough that her split eyes turned back to his almost blood red eyes as they stared intensely at her once more, yet she was not afraid. Beyond anything else she knew he didn’t intend to hurt her, it was not her time yet. She wait patiently as he seems to be searching for words, or one word in particular she finds as that single syllable falls from his lips causing her ears to flick at the sound of his voice. Two more syllables follow, spoken more as a question but in those three single words she understands.
