CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities. This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.
Messages posted in the last 24 hrs. are in White.

Gareth Malone, the choirmaster at the heart of award-winning, hit BBC series The Choir (including Military Wives & Sing While You Work) is creating a choir of injured, wounded and sick members & veterans of the Armed Forces to perform at the Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida in May 2016.
This is a chance to stand proud and tell the world about the achievements of the wounded soldier community.
Would you like the opportunity to be part of Garethís Choir for Heroes performing at this historical sporting event? Or do you know someone who would?
You donít need to be a trained singer: you just need to love the idea of singing and be up for adventure and camaraderie!
Gareth is interested in hearing from people of all different singing abilities so if you would like to find out more about being involved please get in touch by 19 February 2016 for details:

About the series:
Choir for Heroes is a two part documentary series commissioned by the BBC that will follow Gareth
Malone creating a choir of injured, wounded and sick service personnel and veterans to perform at
the Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida in May 2016.
Just as the Invictus Games inspires wounded soldiers through sport, Gareth hopes that creating a
Choir for Heroes will give its members a real and lasting pride, celebrate their achievements, and put
their stories front and centre in front of a global audience.
Application process:
We are looking for people of all ages, different backgrounds and singing abilities to be involved in
the series. Once you register your interest, a member of the production team will get in touch to go
through a telephone questionnaire with you and if selected, may invite you to an audition.
We cannot guarantee everyone a place in the choir and the final selection will be at the sole
discretion of Gareth Malone, Twenty Twenty and the BBC.
Filming dates:
Our filming period is from the middle of February until the end of May so please let us know in
advance if you are not available for any dates during this time.
For those selected to take part, choir rehearsals will take place up to twice a week and will last
approximately two hours. We will send out more information regarding dates and rehearsal
schedules once we have confirmed who will be in the final choir.
What filming will involve:
The auditions, formation, rehearsals and performances of the choir will be filmed in the build up to
the Invictus Games. In some cases, there may be additional filming with some members of the
selected choir outside of rehearsal/performance times.
Travel:
If you are selected to take part in the Choir, you may be required to travel to different areas of the
country during filming and we will work with you to help organise travel arrangements. Reasonable
travel expenses will be paid for you.
PLEASE NOTE that in order to take part in the series, you MUST be fully available and able to travel
to America between 5 May and 14 May 2016 (inclusive).
Deadline:
If you are interested in taking part, then please get in touch by Monday 19th February 2016 at:
