At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice

As he approached the stranger, Kalgalath made no changes to how he walked. Could he have walked louder so as to announce his approach, ensuring that the stranger would not spook and lash out? Yes. Could he have quieted his footfalls to hide the sound of his nearing, allowing him an advantage in their first meeting? Yes. But neither was something that the King was interested in. Kalgalath was a simple wolf, straight forward in how he ran his pack and lived his life. He saw no reason to complicate anything that was straight forward, no reason to fix something that wasn't broken. Always he was willing to help, which had brought him drama and pain in the past, but his heart was too large for his own good, and he never learned to do anything otherwise. Kalgalath would always be a shoulder to cry on, would have advise to give, would provide a home to those who needed it. And now? Now he approached a brute of his own volition. Whether the stranger accepted his help or not, the mottled Titan would offer it gently, even if it was just to provide company to remain at his side until he left the shores of the lake.

And so he walked toward the brute, leaving perfected paw prints in the silt as his pads rolled onto and off of the ground. A gentle sang from the sand as it moved away to allow room for his weight, but Elsewise there was naught else. Still, his arctics caught onto the subtle body motions of the other that signaled that he had been heard. A flicker of an aud that followed Kalgalath's trail, and once he was near enough he swung to face him. For his part, the King did not face the stranger, instead moving to sit at the demarcation between the ocean and the shore, his back limbs on dry sand and his front on wet silt. He weight leaned backward slightly, to prevent himself from sliding forward. Electric azures looked over the glass surface, content merely to remain still and silent, watching the lake catch fire as the colored sky rained down upon it. Out of his peripheral he saw the motion of the brute turning to face him, his auds heard the action - gentle shifting of hairs, the swish of the sand as the weight distribution changed. A small smile grew upon his facade and as he closed his lids, feeling utterly at peace in the moment. With the large star rising above them, it's peaking rays already starting to warm their back, the endless expanse of the grande lake in front of them, there was no doubt that there was more to life than just their lives. That there had to be a greater point to life, and that individually they were insignificant. It yielded to the ideology that they had fate on their side, the road that they were traveling on already laid at their feet, but still they had choices as to which fork to take.

When finally Kalgalath broke the silence with speech, there was a hesitation before it was answered with further lyrics. 'Please, don't trouble yourself over me.' Shade finally rise, revealing his blues, which turn to match his swiveling cranium. Cold arctics fall upon the stranger, his stare only warmed by the kind smile on his kissers. "Wolves are not a species meant to be alone. You are in pain with no one at your side but me - If I am not to worry about your troubles, you will surely bring trouble to yourself over your worries." Kalgalath once more looked over the lake. He had been known, at times, for his temper, the rage that could be released upon invaders or any that sought to injure those he cared about... But the rest of the time he was kind and gentle, soft spoken. "All animals feel pain and though it is in our nature to hide it so as to hide our weaknesses, it is best of all to surround ourselves with others that we trust so that we can rely upon them to help. If you do not, eventually all of your secrets and pains will become overwhelming, and you will not be able to help others, let alone yourself. Let others bear some of your pain - you will heal faster. But you do not know me, so I will pressure you no farther. So, stranger, what is that you need from me?" Kalgalath fell silent, knowing there was no quicker way to put someone off than to be invasive, but he merely wanted the other to know that should he need help, Kalgalath would be available. The stranger was quick to change subjects afterward and the King nodded his head, glad to be able to at least provide some help.

'Would you tell me what has happened in the packs? I have been... indisposed, for the past few years, and found things much changed upon my return.' The mottled titan's mind flew back to when he had first returned to Blossom Forest, hoping to return home but instead finding everything changed. "Depending on how long you have been gone, much has changed indeed. Should you have known Moth, I sadly report that she has passed, and with it the era of Saw Tooth. One of her ranked took her throne but soon after disappeared, and then against all odds, one of the peaks in the terra erupted, showing its true colors as a volcano. After the disappearance of Andere Seite's own leadership, its members became ghosts, coming and going as they desired, but they were erupted too when the land once more rebelled, a tremor tearing long rifts in the earth and threatening to swallow whole those who tried to stay. Many packs have changed leadership - I myself took over after Sin's death. Kershov has recently disappeared and his Beta, Grey Wind, has taken over. A dark army brews in Malignant, but in truth I know nothing more of them other than what my grandson recalls to me - he lives there with his mother. Spring Grounds has changed rulers three or four times in the last year alone, the current Alphess a previous ruler from years ago - Stormy. Cold Summers still belongs to kalaks, but Serris has been over throne, a strange fae dubbed Ameira ruling now. Moondown Shadows has fallen silent.. Ah yes, and then there is Bright Moon. Its membership decreased and then was invading by a breeding set of bears with Cubs which chased off the few who remained, the refugees taking refugee in Munashii for now." Kalgalath stole a glance to the brute, wondering which pack he had originally hailed from, for the answer to that would alter how much pain he would feel. "A long while ago when I was new to these lands I was a part of Munashii Gekko. I disappeared for personal reasons, and when at long last I returned, I found everything I knew gone. Yet here I am now, my life changed. Your path has not ended, just changed direction." The Titan was thankful that he had so many connections - alliances with various packs, friends and family in others...
