The black filly was exciting to him. He forgot the year of growth he tried to pretend he could maintain and pranced in the water, mimicking her excitement. As wonderful as the waves of the were, their crisp blue and the salty scent, Ailill had to admit it was the forests that had captured his heart. As the droplets of water flew off her hooves and added their glistening light to the starry sky the young man began to feel the tug towards the beauty of the water as well. He yearned to call out and find his sister. Tell her the water spirits could fly.
On the sands his bright blue eyes watched the filly dance around him, sending her hooves into the air. It appeared to him as though she were a natural dancer. A sly grin played across his pale lips. She stopped to face him, suddenly it was his turn to trot exaggeratedly around her. Hooves lifted high into the air and stomped down to send the wet sand flying. Occasionally he tossed his head into the air, still wet mane sending whippets of water around them.
“Move you body to the motions of the world around you, in whichever way feels right to you!” His haunches bunched and he shot himself away from her. Stopping abruptly in the sand he snorted, jumping up with all four hooves and kicking his hind legs out behind him. As he hit the ground his body twisted and he stepped up beside her, touching her gently with his nose. “Or, step with a partner and mirror their motions.” He lifted his single hoof of the leg he was shoulder to shoulder to her with and carefully moved it across to just in front of her. Next he lifted his other hoof and stepped in the same motion in the opposite direction. When she got the idea he took them in a slow circle, keeping himself on the outside so his longer legs could compensate for the difference in speed needed to stay even with her in a circle.
