I can understand the reluctance of some to offer information about fox dens, and the last thing we would want is to create a situation where human traffic increases around a den. We do have a potential den site being investigated on a private farm (which is great as there is very little public access), but may follow up on some of these suggestions if the need arises.
The Algonquin foxes have come up a number of times, and I know some of the staff up there who are trying to dissuade the public from approaching and feeding them - it can often end badly for the foxes.
