Nakato
eleven ; no mate ; no imprint ; frankenstein of asteraia |
Something had indeed changed with the bob-tailed wolfess. His scent came closer, laced with the smell of the plains, marking him as one of her own. They were of the same pack now, family by scent. With a sigh, Nakato greeted Samhain like a friend choosing to give up any negative feelings she had had for the male in days gone by. After the attack by Tobias she didn’t feel much of a threat coming from the mysterious wolf. He had never done anything like what the dark king had done and yet Nakato still felt loyalty to him. It was time to give of this folly with Samhain and accept him for who he was, just like every other wolf who crossed her path. It took a painful moment for her to sit up with her injured shoulder, but she managed and gave a small smile to the wolf. “Hello, Samhain, was it? I must apologize for my behavior the last time we met. I was not myself and you did not deserve my rudeness.” she said, bowing her dark head. After a moment, she raised it up again. “Let us start over. My name is Nakato, I am the healer of Asteraia.” At long last she had given her name to the wolf who seemed to be stalking her steps. It felt both good and bad, but she couldn’t understand why. If he was a brother now he would need to be treated like one and now was the time to start. He congratulated her on the birth of her daughters, the first wolf to do so, and it made her smile for the first time in several weeks. “Thank you. They are the light of my life. You have a child too? I did not know. Are they here with you?” There were not very many pups residing within Asteraia and the thought that her daughters could have another playmate made her little bob tail wag. They had been quite the handful lately and if she could pawn them off with another pup it would allow her time to herself. Being a single mother was difficult, but she wouldn’t trade it for the world. It was not a lie when she said they were her light. Nakato had already shed blood for her children, she would gladly give her life for them if needed. “Perhaps we can have a play date for our children. I feel it would be nice for Jakuta and Athena to get to know other wolves their age and, perhaps, we could also start off on the right paw. What do you think?” |
