Springtime on Tinuvel was more lovely than Nova ever could have imagined. While the weather was still quite cool, plumes of brightly colored foliage began to grow over what had been a completely snow-covered terrain months before. Nova couldn't be happier about seeing the snow melt away, and the rich colors of Tinuvel's natural vegetation begin to sprout in its place. It was the simple things, like the change in seasons, that kept Nova in relatively high spirits, despite what she'd consider a rather lonesome life here in the Bay. Though she'd never outwardly admit that to Nephilim, whom she was still quite fond of, Nova felt rather bored most of the time. She blamed it on what she assumed was merely an adjustment period, a solidification that her adolescence was finally over. She was an adult now, a full grown, fertile and healthy mare. Her priorities must shift too, and adventure was no longer high on the list of what she should assume would be important to a mare.
Though, she couldn't keep herself from daydreaming. She'd met Nephilim the day she arrived on the Islands, having broke free from her mother's delusional escapade to find Shamwari. She was bright eyed and full of excitement at the thought of venturing out on her own. But then the handsome golden spotted stallion came her way, and everything changed. She'd never blame Nephilim for her restlessness as of late. Some of his other mares had children to tend to, others were much older than her. She clearly didn't have any luck making friends so far. Not to mention the abrupt disappearance of her father, Valentine. The wound left behind in its wake was still fresh and she hated thinking about it for too long. She'd never shared this with Nephilim or anyone else. Perhaps that's why it was still festering.
So Nova ambled across the rocky paths leading toward the Bay's shoreline. It was her usual trail, one she liked to walk every morning when the weather allowed, just to start her day.
