When I stopped to check if the Great Horned Owl was still on one of the nests at the heronry, I observed that Great Blue Herons were occupying all 3 nests. No sign of the owl today at 3:00 pm.
Also noticed 2 Trumpeter Swans, 2 pairs of American Wigeon, several Mallards, at least 20 Canada Geese, Turkey Vultures overhead, song sparrow singing and I heard a spring peeper.
There were lots of blooming Coltsfoot along the roadsides. Replies: There have been no replies.
