Peacefully sitting watching a movie on TV last night (Friday) when lo & behold a mosquito attacks my ear! Couldn't have been more surprised. I mean, really! Last fall was insult enough with mosquitos right into November, but now they're claiming April too? Bob I am sorry I squished it before I thought to try to catch it to determine what type it was. I think it is the human reflex to simply squish. But I can tell you it was the smaller type, not the dangly ones we've been used to in Ontario. It seem while it perched on my arm, the wings we're slightly darker, almost a brownish color. I remember last fall most of them were small & more blackish, like the tropical ones. Best I can do for description & will try harder if another comes my way.
Get the homemade repellants ready folks.
