Nakato
twelve ; no mate ; no imprint ; frankenstein of asteraia mother of jakuta, athena & tiamat |
The night she and Zeus had laid together was not a special memory in her mind. It had been nothing more than a weakness of her will and a night that would change her life forever. He told her he would be there for her and yet a year went by and the children had only met him once. They did not know their father as they knew their mother. For so long, Nakato had raised them as best she could in the hopes they would become good and noble wolves. But she feared she was slipping. Athena was rarely seen and Jakuta was… well… a brat. There wasn’t time to teach them how to be proper wolves when she could barely keep up with their growing needs. But now, hope stood before her. He spoke kind words, though she did not understand all of them. His eyes were gentle and his voice soothing. It was too late. He had caught her in his trap, if he had set one. The winter was coming to an end and her heat with it. But it still made her heart flutter to see him standing there as a regal creature. She was staring and he knew it. It didn’t stop her as her ears drooped slightly as she took in each syllable he spoke. Only when he had finished did she shake her head to clear the haze and bow her head slightly. "You speak such wonderful words, but I am afraid I do not understand them all. I thank you for them nonetheless. I hope that you continue to share them. Do you seek a land to call your own?" It surprised her how much she wanted him to join Asteraia. However, it was not her place to accept new members into the pack. Ears fell slightly and her blue gaze looked down at her paws as she shuffled them. Did other wolves have to warn others about their home? How did she tell him that there were cannibals here? That he was in danger just by standing at the border? There was no way around it. "If you do wish to call Asteraia your home, I must warn you, there are wolves here who some may not consider… normal. But we are a fiercely loyal group and you will find no better family than here." And a mate who could make you happy. Of course, this last part was only spoken in the hidden depths of her mind. What was it about this male that was making her feel like a love struck pup? "Forgive me. I forgot to ask you for your name," she asked, hoping to hear him talk again. |
