On Thursday May 12, Chris Evans (705 722-1136) will lead a walk for the Brereton Field Naturalists’ on the 600 acre city park around Little Lake, looking for wildflowers and spring migrants. Meet at the Little Lake Parking lot at 8 a.m. This walk which entails medium difficulty will end by noon. Pleasetake appropriate precautions, including insect repellent, long sleeves and long pants tucked into socks. It is tick season and Lyme disease precautions are warranted now in addition to the "traditional" biting insect precautions. We want you to have fun out there and be safe while enjoying this great stroll through one of Barrie's premiere nature areas. Past years walks around the lake area have proved extremely fruitful for seeing wonderful native plants and exceptional birding opportunities. : )
