If I were a rose experiencing the summerís bloom,
Iíll shower you with the best of fragrance
Oh but Iím a shadow in the midst of winterís doom
Starved and withering, lifeís lost its elegance
A pity lifeís built like vegetables
Happily ever after a tale of the fables
Upon dawn we are born, fed and watered
By dusk we stand fleshless and tattered
The poet questions his futility
Mother Nature though rich with fertility
Cannot erase the ultimate fact
Not even by swearing a pact
Humans and animal revel in their youth
In a blink itís lost, the bitter truth.
