As they walked she did not mind his company this morning. Her mind was heavy on the thought of ensuring the safety and well-being of all her members. With the disappearance of Eric and her prodigy, Cuirass, she was concerned about their whereabouts and hoped none of the other wolves would do the same. She rather liked those two and she was proud of them both. Nakato and her children would now have to have extra protection with the threat of being from Zeus, a wolf that had caused harm to the Diveen pack. She does not fault their Mother, understanding all too well that during Winter time a male and female cannot always contain themselves, believing that these children within the plains would be treated just like any other wolf. Although she had an alliance with the Diveen pack, should they attempt to harm her own, no matter the lineage, she would take matters within her own jaws. While they walked her rhythm was easy and slow, not moving at such a fast rate, wanting to enjoy this casual stroll. The silence between them was comfortable and not awkward in the least. Her ear flicked when she heard him answer her question and a polite nod was given when he mentioned the pups would be safe. It was when he questioned her on their purpose did she turn her dial to him, dark sapphire eyes looking into his own.
“Everyone has a purpose. What their purpose in life be, I do not know, but our job is to protect them and give them a place to develop their own sense and see what they are capable of bringing to themselves and to the pack.”
It was not her job to deem them what sort of purpose they had. Everyone had a purpose, be it good or bad. Prey had a purpose just as predators have a purpose. The wolves that craved the flesh of their own kind had purpose as well, even if others deemed their purpose wrong and highly unnecessary. Being an outcast herself for most of her life she knew she had a purpose, but believed it was because she was meant to be what her parents and pack feared she would become. She knew it was her job, and the packs job, to help the young ones find their purpose...and perfect themselves for the role. One day her children would take the fields and lead it their own way, this she knew, but there was more to them other than running a pack – what that was she did not know. What Samhain and Psyche’s pups purpose would be, she did not know, but she would do whatever she could for this new family. She did not know what Tobias wanted from his children, but she was curious if purpose Samhain had an idea. As the northern winds shifted slightly she looked back at him her, her voice smooth and full of interest.
“As a Father is there anything you expect from them?”
