We have a copy of the CT DNA reports, after CT DEEP attempted to not give them out for over a year. Your information on eastern Canada is dead wrong. You obviously have a pre determined outlook here and are attempting to mold evidence to support it. I would fail to believe up to 800 cougars in Canada could all be released pets. They did find some mixed DNA though indicating there had been possible interbreeding. Or since we now have these long journeys, perhaps one walked up from South America. You might try to explain why there has been refusal to allow anyone outside the study that the F&W people ordered to do an independent analysis. NY DEC denied that they had ANY evidence of a cougar months after the CT cat was hit. They made a strong statement to the Syracuse paper to that effect late in the year after it was hit.
