GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
Seasons Come and Seasons Go

The winds shifted in the warmer breeze. Giddy as always the filly turned with the wind, her gait unbroken and steady. What did make her break her stride was noticing the adult mare and the colt just so far away. Dark ears perked forward in interest at the two of them. She called out a shrill greeting, lifting her hooves briefly. Once her hooves touched the ground again she was enroute to the pair of them. She slowed only when she approached close enough to be able to speak to them without raising her voice.

Hello! She nodded her head politely to them and held her nose out to say hello. It is beautiful day! Grinning, she trotted in a single circle around them, tossing her head into the air as if to enjoy the warmth of the spring air.

Her brother’s aloof nature and their sudden transportation to a new land seemed to have no real effect on the filly. Shy was not a word that could have been used to describe Ostara. From the day she had been born she had struck out to meet as many others around her as she could. It had just been disappointing that there had been so few. Now she was in a new place, with new people! It had only been Samhain’s cool words and warnings that had kept her a little apart from the others. He had cautioned her that not everyone was as outgoing as she was. In response, she had been exploring on her own with him following just behind.

Today, however, was far too nice to be plagued by ghosts! Her bobby tail batting against her young flanks. Dark eyes looked over at Paradiso. One hoof dragged itself on the dead grass, an ear flicking back uncertainly. He had not spoken to her since she had been there, and she did not want to scare away a new friend. But she so longed to explore the Prairie with someone who knew it!

Will you show me the hills? She asked him, a tone of shyness ringing in her voice. My brother will not let me get too close to the trees. Maybe we can find some away from the forest!
