Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

If this ain't love then how do we get out?

DAKOTAH
so tell me now, if this ain't love then how do we get out

It was not too long before Dakotah felt the presence of another nearing. He had eventually resulted to grazing casually, quickly growing tired of waiting. The Lagoon was far more barren than when he originally called the islands home. Looking up, a slender form was making its way towards him. Not sure what to expect with the brutes around him, instinct forced his guard up as ears darted back.

The sight before him was an interesting one at that. The speckled man reeked of the ‘lovely’ landscape of the Lagoon as his frame was hidden behind mud and god knows what else. He could not help but take a step forward to get a better look. He immediately relaxed noticing not only how much older than stallion was, but also by the coloring of his orbs: pure white. Dakotah nodded his head in response to older man, and snorted at his words. “Oh, just peachy,” he sarcastically remarked. Figuring his new companion had trouble seeing him, he closed the distance between them in respect before stopping a couple feet away; the pain from his wound caused him to travel slower than usual of course.

“Little old to be living the bachelor life, huh?”

He chuckled at his own remark. Whatever reasoning the man had for staying here, Dakotah was sure it would be interesting. However, something catches his eye behind the old man which caused him to raise his guard once again. He was vulnerable at this point and was more on his toes than usual. The painted man’s nostrils flared, taking in the scent of the intruder. Side-stepping to get a better look, he saw the large sandy stallion casually taking a sip from the murky water. He was also an elder compared to the painted man and Dakotah couldn't help but feel so naive between the two. Feeling the new-comers gaze on him, Dakotah decided to return it, watching him intently. At the buckskin’s remark, a smirk formed on his lips.

“I was actually looking to take up residency for a little while, and from the looks of this place my help would be much appreciated,” turning his head to eye his still fresh wound with a slight chuckle, he continued, “In a few days of course.”
