We apologize for not making our post that mentioned "large cat" clear, and that it does NOT refer to a large house cat! Spent quite a bit of time talking to the poor witness, who is getting calls well into the late night. She was frustrated, and we have cleared the air. We just had misunderstanding of what was going on. A phd in our group viewed the pictures last night, and is pretty convinced based on the totality of the evidence that this is NOT a housecat. The witness and animal control have been EXTREMEMLY cooperative and have done some size pictures for us. I did not mean to infer they were not. There were issues due to the property the cone would have to be placed on, it wasn't the witnesses property. I thank all the people in Webster for helping out in this investigation. We will have more soon when we can get all this together. In the meantime, the evidence is starting to show this is unlikely its a house cat, unless they have steroids in the woods in Webster!
