Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Kendry had a point and, if Psychedelic was telling the truth, he didn’t actually give a shit about exploring the world. Though he’d never been raised in a particularly traditional herd structure and had only known a life of traveling spare times spent in the Lagoon, Psychedelic would likely say he preferred to hang out here. He didn’t have a real answer for leaving; Psychedelic couldn’t blame it on the dwindling activity on the Lagoon or the boss’ decision to give the herd boys of the islands hell. In the end, there just wasn’t a reason at all so he didn’t answer when Kendry asked why he’d really left.

Thankfully his large brother kept on talking, and it was the sort of talk Psychedelic was familiar with. He could spend hours going on and on with the little conversational partner stuffed up inside his head. Briefly he considered asking Kendry why he didn’t just talk to his but he was far more distracted by a previous thought.

“Just… you? Where the fuck did Grumpy Pants McGee run off to? He had a big ol’ vision, you know, change the world through fear or something like that. I mean, why the hell else would I swim to an island made of sand that’s baking at five thousand degrees to fight some guy?” Psychedelic snorted and rolled his eyes, tone clearly expressing his displeasure at learning the Lagoon was empty.

“Does that make you the boss?” Psychedelic asked, curious eyes watching Kendry. He had nothing against Kendry, in fact, he rather liked him. There was something inside Psychedelic that tasted bitter, a meaning to his miserable life which told him he should have stayed around so he could have become boss. Of course, he was quick to dismiss the thought and focus on something else.

“What kind of fun did you have in mind? Want me to do a little dance? Sing for you?”
