During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The territory had been uneventful since the meeting. A few times he had caught vague scents of pack members along a wispy breeze but overall the life in the pack was lying very low. He had a productive one-on-one session with Horizon which doubled as a trust building exercise as well as rank interview. He respected the maned wolf and they had come to find out their pasts were more similar than either probably would have guessed upon first meeting. The black and crimson male had hoped to have the chance at getting to know a little more about other members of Munashii Gekko as well but as the new monarch was learning, seeking out the members of his pack was easier said than done.

The last few hours alternated between travelling through the territory looking for any members and refreshing the scent marker along some portions of the border. A pretty typical day in the life of an alpha wolf in Blossom Forest. He began heading back deeper into the territory, deciding between seeking out some company or just retiring for an afternoon nap. His paws bounced his form along at a steady rhythm until a sudden sharp noise threw off his tempo. Titan halted and lifted his snout upwards, inhaling in the direction the noise had come from. It took a few seconds to place the scent as Munashii’s queen. Now there was an idea. He’d been needing to meet with her sometime soon anyways to update her on Horizon’s rank interview and see if she had anything similar to report. Titan huffed out a deep bark in response to give her a heads up that he was n her way and a few minutes jog later the alabaster she-wolf was in view.

“Ameira, it’s good to see you. How have you been these last few weeks?”

Was it strange that the alphas hadn’t touched base since the last meeting? Most alpha pairs were mates and obviously spent a lot of time together outside of pack related business, but that wasn’t the case for these two. They were little more than work associates with an extraordinary amount of good faith in each other to have the right intentions. Both wolves had proven willingness to sacrifice when they met for Titan’s challenge. Both wolves knew the other had a similar heart to see the pack grow and reach its potential in a very specific way. As a haven for outsiders and a place where no wolf felt that they had no purpose or role in the pack. It would probably do the pack some good if he and Ameira did build their relationship but just like with the pack as a whole, it would take time for that process to unfold. The demonican male came to a stop beside Ameira and his emerald eyes found her amethysts, which had always been her most striking feature to the male.

“We should touch base on a few things. Mostly, I have news regarding Horizon. Is there anything you have to update me on?”

Blood Titan realized how stiffly he was speaking. He rolled his shoulders back and sat down on his haunches, trying to make things feel more relaxed. It was a comfortable, golden autumn afternoon and it occurred to him that Munashii Gekko felt the most like home to him since becoming alpha.
