Realizing that his mother had absolutely no intention of backing down when it came to doing this little adventure – he snorted with frustration. Flipping his ears back the young stud stared at his mother’s defined facial features before he tore his gaze away from and the disappointed look in her blue eyes. There is no sense in arguing with a mare who was determined he had learned and his mother hadn’t been the only one who had done this to him in his short life. ”and if he doesn’t?” Christian finally shot back still refusing to look at his mother, but kept one ear cocked in her direction. Aubrey kept her calm demeanor and prayed that her son wouldn’t be able to detect her own nerves that rushed through her veins. Christian lost his will power to challenge her and looked away for a brief moment before asking her the one question that she could not have the answer too. It caused her to release a shaky breath willing herself to come up with something but as she opened her mouth to respond – Aubrey hears her name being questioned.

Turning to her left soft hued eyes gaze upon the speckled physic of Nephilim and in that very moment her heart began to pound and her mouth went dry. Why did he have this effect on her after so long? It did not make sense to her now anymore then it made sense to her back then when they had their lust filled night. Aubrey had stayed in the bay for a while after that hoping that something would come of whatever they shared and she really thought they were making progress when she did not come into season again and got spooked by the knowledge of being a mother and fled. hello Nephilim she manages while taming her wild thoughts. He hadn’t come alone and as she turns to acknowledge the young mares near him Aubrey offers a kind smile ” hello ladies, I’m Aubrey” they of course probably already knew this though. Turning to glance at her son who just stood dumbfounded Aubrey finishes ”and this is Christian, your son Nephilim” answering his question.

Christian while choosing to ignore his others stare was able to notice a stallion coming towards them with two mares. One lagged behind and the other walked beside him like she is his equal. The sight made him even more nervous but he also knew that if he were ever to lead or protect his own home he would want an equal as well. The idea soothed him just enough to watch them get close enough before they decided to stop. The stallion Christian noticed addressed his mother right away giving him time to notice how much younger the mares were then him. They even stood like his father, had a lot of the same features in their faces and over all body as well. The one beside him match his own light hued coat and for a second he wondered if these were some of his siblings. Being curious instead of anxious now Christian wanted to pipe up and ask but his mother introduced him. Staring at the girls he had completely missed his father’s inquire before his mother spoke up. Tearing his gaze away from the mares Christian finally made eye contact with his father. ” finally we meet pops” his tone is light and offered humor hoping it would work. He did not know how else to approach the stallion that fathered him and couldn’t help but feel angry for a second with his mother for keeping him away all his life.

Casting her gaze down at her feet Aubrey shifted starting to feel slightly uncomfortable. Perhaps she should hurry and explain why they had come and if everything went well she could leave Nephilim in peace and her dear boy alone with his dad. She of course wanted to stay here and maybe start over again with the still very handsome man but asking for something so selfish when she had been just that felt wrong. ” Nephilim I..I’m sorry it took me so long to bring him to you” Aubrey gushed in an explosion of emotions ”I came alone about six months ago to find you but the bay was empty. I figured you had moved on to another home so I left Christian to mingle in the falls while I proceeded to search the other places here on the islands. When I didn’t find you I came back for our son and now here we are. Right back where we started, or where I started.” she pauses now feel out of breath from trying to explain everything in rush. Casting her gaze up finally she met with Nephilim’s and found herself holding her breath.
