During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

And I plan to be...

A wolf had met her in the abysmal cavern, and helped to lead her out of the darkness. And though she was exhausted, she ran all the way home, back to Munashii Gekko. How long had it been since she had been within these boundaries, these walls? Though likely it was only a few days, it seemed like months. Danger was gone... Stolen from her by a group of thugs, marauders who had wanted him for Tor knows what reason. And though she wanted him to escape, to fight them off and return to her, Nzingha knew better. Her pinnae had been filled with their demands, their threats - 'try to flee, and we will hunt the ess down and kill her.' Never had there been a word, a label, placed upon the relationship between Nzingha and Danger, but she had loved him and he had loved her.... Had not that been the way of it? They cared about each other and for each other, they watched each other's back when in a bind and never were parted, even when asleep. Nothing had come to pass from their relationship - he had been too respectful of her age... Had been too respectful in general. And she had never broached the subject, for what did a teen know of her womanhood?

Naught.

And her heart hurt and ached for his return. And her soul hurt and ached, knowing that he wouldn't.

She cried.

And then another heart ached as she did, only this wolf cried aloud, calling out to the world in great sobs and Nzingha's tired form managed to pull herself along the snow laden ground to finally reach the injured form. At first, Nzingha pulled back, thinking the fae injured... But she was not. Instead, she was deformed, a limb missing from her. Not that Nzingha minded - after all, she was in love with a blind wolf.

"Are...you...alright?..."

Her words were ragged, each said with its own breath individually as she huffed and puffed, trying to catch her breath. But suddenly, safe within the boundary of her home, Nzingha collapsed into the sweet abyss of unconsciousness, her form merely needing a moment's rest, and her mind needing a reset.
