The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
This is no ordinary love

Nova felt a strange tightness in her gut, not all that dissimilar to how she felt when she saw Nephilim himself striding leisurely across the Crossing Isle. It made her feel sick to her stomach. But Vita Nova tried her best to put her fragile feelings aside and not let it get in the way of the conversation she was having with Oswin, or helping her try to find her brother. "I can't believe you two are related." She said in a ho-hum way, her stare focused on the mare standing in front her, but her expression feeling somewhat dazed and misplaced.

The ashen mare bobs her head when Oswin tells her she's staying at the Peak. Nova of course knew what the Peaks was, but never understood it's appeal, if she was being honest. "What's that like?" She asked honestly, cocking her head slightly to the left as she fantasized what it must be like living on the top of a mountain.

When Oswin turns the conversation back to their family and she immediately looks away. It was still painful for her to think about Valentine, and that day she showed up at the Prairie and realized everyone was gone. The mare took a deep breathe and looked back at Oswin with a weak smile. She saw no reason to belabor the topic. Clearly it was behind them now. So instead they talked more about Koray. Nova giggled at Oswins suggestion. "I might take you up on that sometime!" She said, only half jokingly. "He really is a dumb lump." She added with a quick roll of her eyes.

When their conversation returned to Nephilim the tightness in her abdomen returned. Her soft skinned nostrils flared as she listened to Oswin's memory of him and she could feel her heart sink. She knew from the beginning that Nephilim had been dealt a tough hand in life. Perhaps she was too hard on him. Maybe she should be more forgiving. The thought weighed heavily on her and she did her best to shake it off. After all, she lived on Salem now. There was no reason for her and Nephilim to ever see each other again. But she wouldn't stand in her sister's way to find her brother.

"He lives on Tinuvel. In the Bay." She said sharply and without any elaboration. "He lives there with his children, two young fillies." She added. She opened her mouth to explain further, to tell Oswin just how well she'd known Nephilim and how he'd left her behind just like their father, but no words came out. "I bet he'll be happy to see you." She said instead, her tone barely more audible than a whisper.
