Sighting in Newry, Maine
IP: 73.143.45.85

Back in the beginning of July I witnessed a mountain lion run out in front of my car on Bear River Road in Newry, Maine. It was huge, bigger than a German Shepard, with a tail 3 feet long and a classic mountain lion auburn/orangish coat. I would have hit it if my friend didn't yell out "cat!" as it began to run out from the trees and into the street. I couldn't believe my eyes. I've seen bobcats before and know that this was not a bobcat. It was simply to large and was clearly a mountain lion.
