Inka
There was a delay before Evaline replied, and this was not lost on Inka. She noticed, too, how, the little mare's smile was strained. Had she overstepped a boundary by asking permission to visit Shamwari? Inka's gut tightened with guilt, and for a moment she considered backtracking and withdrawing her request, just in case Evaline had only said yes to be nice. But Evaline struck her as an honest mare - a brutally honest one, if anything - and so surely if she didn't like the idea, she would say as much... right?
The Friesian mare decided to withhold her concerns. She allowed a grateful smile to spread across her grey-peppered muzzle and bobbed her head. "Thank you," she replied, and - lost for anything else to say - she let another brief silence fall over them. Her dark eyes drifted to the falls, and she watched them tumble for a few moments, hypnotized by the rhythmic movement. Eventually she said, "It was good to meet you, Evaline," and returned her gaze to her companion, her eyes regarding the smaller, paler mare with warmth. "I should probably get back to the Peak, but you're welcome to visit any time. It would be good to see you again."
