Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Appetite is lust at best

There is no love, just appetite.
And its consequences keep you up at night.

A wicked grin etched its way across the buckskin stallion's whiskered lips as the white mare retaliated, as if anything she did in this moment had any worth to him. When she was finished with her snapping jaw display, the boss of the Lagoon merely snorted, rolling his dark green eyes into the back of his skull and then refocusing on the red stallion, whom had seemingly snapped out of whatever spell he'd been under for the last several minutes.

Kasabian found it wildly entertaining that two young and naive young horses thought they knew something about the history of the Lagoon. Kasabian was basically raised here. It was the one constant in his entire, fucked up life. It was the one place that was always here. But the reign of the various bosses that came before him were hardly consistent. Though the premise of what the Lagoon should be, what its role should be among a string of islands that housed band stallions, had stayed relatively the same, nothing else certainly had. This stallion's brash and unintelligent address showed how little he truly knew of the world and the way it worked.

The Lagoon, yes, was open to bachelor stallions. But under Kasabian's rule, he did not make it a heralded point to collect mares. Most proved to be of little worth for the amount of work they often required. It was only under extraordinary circumstances did one find its way here as a captive. Evaline was it. Reginleif was merely a visitor. As for strangers who wandered in and made a scene -- as these two had -- Kasabian had little need for them. Whether the scuffle he saw when he first found them was Reginleif's fault or not, it didn't matter. They were disruptive, and not in a cunning or intelligent way. This stallion was a meek fool. And Kasabian wanted nothing to do with his loud mouthed mare.

"I deny the rights to anyone I see as unfit." Kasabian hissed. This stallion's suddenly cocky mouth would be dealt with later. In the passing breeze came the scent of two new intruders. These two were from Salem. A golden ear lobe flicked forward and back, then came to rest with the other against his poll. Gabbar. He had finally come for the golden mare. "Prove to me you are worthy, boy." The buckskin stallion said, then turned on his haunches and headed for the shore. He eyed Reginleif out of the corner of his eye before he ambled off, first at a walk, and then forward at an ambling three-beat gait.

OOC: Well obviously they can stay! He already said so. But Kasabian's not a fan of their entrance. As the boss, he can approach them however he wants -- this is consistent with how he's done so with new recruits in the past. He's singled out cocky young stallions who just show up and think they deserve something for doing nothing. This is building off of Felony's tenure, who always made the young stallions "prove themselves" (at least Kasabian and Shamwari when they lived here) when they join. Kasabian has made it a point not to bring mares into the Lagoon. And yo dude, I was invited to join this thread. I didn't just "show up."
