I realise not everyone will remember Patricia as she hasn't been to any DC ties with us for a few years but if you do, then I'm sorry to bring you some sad news. I recently heard from Gill Keeling that Patricia has sadly lost her long battle with cancer. She did see this year's Wimbledon and as a staunch supporter of British tennis was obviously delighted by Andy's win, but took a turn for the worse shortly afterwards. Gill said her love of tennis "figured largely" at her memorial service!

I'd kept in occasional contact with her and knew she had health problems but didn't realise they were quite so serious. I'm sure you'll join me in wishing condolences to all her friends and family.

How COMPLETELY WEIRD!! I swear that for some strange reason I thought about Pat this very morning and wondered if she was still alive - and I didn't even know she'd been ill. I don't think I've thought of her in years (sorry that doesn't sound good but it's a long time since the Tim years).
