Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

LONG SHADOWS LURE YOU IN.

Zenith had always been a decent fighter, and under other conditions he was not afraid to make the first move and escalate a tense situation if he deemed that sort of response appropriate. This was not one of those situations however, and usually the silver black stallion could mitigate a threat simply with clever tricks of the tongue. He always viewed such cunning as his most valuable weapon.

Fallo shared his name and the current state of the Lagoon—weak—that frankly didn’t surprise the Akhal-Teke. Even when he had led this miserable band of misfits all those years ago they were weak. No single stallion could make the Lagoon anything other than what it was—a ragtag band of studs with nowhere else to go.

“Zenith,” he replied curtly, continuing his walk down the trail, his narrow hips rocking back and forth like a pendulum. He reached the clearing with tufts of grass so thick that he could have disappeared if he lay down in it.

“So tell me Fallo,” he continued in between taking huge bites of the dense vegetation between his feet, “what exactly are you doing here beyond sustaining yourself?”

While he had the other stallion’s attention he intended to learn as much as he could so he could properly assess what to do next.
