Yesterday (December 27) there were approximately 1500 Common Mergansers collected at the west end of Kempenfelt Bay at Barrie. With them were numbers of Mallards and a few Buffleheads and Goldeneyes. The mergansers were partly segregated by sex, with the males tending to be further out and the females closer to shore. Replies: There have been no replies.
