Trumpeter Swans

Lake Simcoe

We first saw these majestic swans yesterday, Wednesday December 28th 2016.

We could not identify them at that time as they were past the ice forming at the shore, too far for us to properly observe and distinguish.

Today we counted 16 Trumpeter Swans, identified by solid black bills viewed via binoculars.
