Sparrow Lake birds

As of this morning there was still a long strand of open water near the northwest shore of Sparrow Lake in a spot that has a fair bit of current. It was an active little water hole with 32 Trumpeter Swans (16 adults and 16 juveniles), 2 Canada Geese, a Common Goldeneye and a busy River Otter. Most surprising however was an actively feeding Common Loon. An adult Bald Eagle patrolled above, a Common Raven flew over, and as we were leaving this morning I heard at least one Evening Grosbeak.
