Hi Donna and Napper;
I agree with all your hawk identifications Donna except what you call a Northern Goshawk is a Merlin.
On the other hand, Napper, what you are calling a Merlin is a Sharp-shinned Hawk.

Note the thick brown breast streaks, long, thin tail squared off, thick dark tail bands with a thin white terminal band.
